Come into Potts Harbor past Dolphin Marina on your port(left) side heading approximately north east. You will enter a narrow channel where many lobster boats are moored. The Interstate Lobster Wharf will be on your starboard side. When you are abreast of their float, turn to port. (Don't cut this corner short as there is a sand bar to port.) The entrance to Basin Cove will then be in front of you. Where the entrance narrows, there is a green metal pipe with a green day marker on the far southern side of the opening. Keep this day marker 6 to 8 feet off your port side as you are entering Basin Cove. After you pass the pipe, take a wide turn to starboard. Basin Cove extends about a mile in front of you. Stay in the center of the channel on your way through. Our moorings are located just past the area where the basin opens up. The moorings consist of a white hardshell taper mooring ball marked with FKBY and a gray pvc pipe with a thimble on top. You will need to supply your own bow line. Make one end fast to your boat and pass the other end through the thimble and back to your boat. If you have never been in Basin Cove, please give us a call before you navigate the entrance. Local knowledge is advisable!

PLEASE BE ADVISED
We strongly recommend planning passage through the channel at high water slack tide. A strong current runs through the gut at mid tide.
